Janelle is Bella's mommy. She made her a promise before she went to Heaven that she would make a positive in Bella's honor. Bellaflies is Bella's foundation. Her mommy and daddy just run it. The foundation is her way keeping her promise, and letting Bella know that she will never give up on her.

Bella’s Blessing Baskets collecting NOW

It’s that time of year again. We are now collecting for Bella’s Blessing Baskets! We collect NEW items every year to donate to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

While Bella was in the hospital her family received an amazing amount of support from family, friends, and well-wishing strangers. Some of those things were in the form of snacks, drinks, toiletries, books, gift cards, gifts for Bella, etc. Whatever they did not use they made a make shift “Bella’s Blessing Basket” for the other families who were in the PICU with them. Every time they put something out it was immediately taken and used.

Some families go to ACH (like Bella’s) without warning and with nothing, some come in the middle of the night, and some simply cannot afford the extras that it takes to stay in the hospital with your child. We are collecting the listed items to donate to those families in need that are fighting right along with their child. Please make sure all items are NEW, and preferably travel size.

Doctor urges quick action on child strokes

Bella’s pediatric strokes were missed at the first hospital she was taken to. The radiologist completely misread her CT scans. He stated there were no brain abnormalities when in fact her CT scan showed pediatric strokes and severe brain swelling-so severe that her skull had started to expand.

Looking back Bella did have signs of brain swelling and pediatric strokes, but she also had signs of a severe stomach bug. The article below tells you the pediatric stroke signs and that time is brain at any age. Bella was taken to a hospital and they were missed, but her parents didn’t know what to look for they just knew something was seriously wrong. That is why it is important for anyone who is around children to know that pediatric strokes can happen to any child at any time.
